Where are you based?

We are in Marple, Greater Manchester; once home to Mellor Mill, the largest cotton-spinning mill in the world! A town steeped in textile manufacturing and inventive design history stretching back to the 18th Century. And yes – there is a link to Agatha Christie’s Miss Marple.

What delivery services do you have available?

We are currently offering FREE UK MAINLAND SHIPPING for 30 days (until 23:59 hours, 11th March 2021), to coincide with the launch of our new business. In future, the checkout will offer you the delivery options and prices.

We use both UK Mail and UPS courier services and will provide you with a tracking number once your order is ready to dispatch. For the delivery of samples, we use standard Royal Mail 1st Class, which is not trackable. If you have a request for a specific location, or wish to place an order from outside of the UK, please contact us.

Why do I need samples?

The sampling aspect is a crucial part of our business giving the customer a physical piece of our wallpaper (see the ‘Order Sample’ option on our design pages). Our samples are A3 and are sent in a board backed A4 envelope, using Royal Mail 1st Class standard delivery.

We believe our samples are an industry benchmark and we strongly encourage you to request them before placing your final product order.

Please note, we only allow a maximum of 20 samples per customer order. If you require more than 20, please contact us.

Can I place an order over the phone ?

Do you accept returns?

As our wallpaper is specifically printed to order we are not in a position to offer returns unless there is clear and obvious fault in the production of the roll. Please always contact us immediately if you are unhappy with the product for any reason.

 

WALLPAPER FAQs

How do I know how much wallpaper to order?

Our rolls are 52 cm and 70cm wide, both 10 metres in length, plus we also offer a mural panel design, measuring 104cm wide, and 3 metres high. Please measure your walls carefully, to calculate how many rolls you need to cover your space to be decorated.

If you are unsure about roll quantities and coverage, please contact us and we will assist to ensure that you don’t order incorrectly. If you over order we will take back and refund unopened boxes. It is best to order adequately as there can be slight colour variations from batch to batch.

How do I hang my wallpaper?

Where possible use a professional decorator who will be experienced in the hanging of bespoke specialist wallpaper. If you are keen to try yourself then simply prepare the wall to be as clean and smooth as possible.

All our papers are paste the wall only. Please do not paste the back of our wallpapers, as this could potentially damage the paper and affect hanging.

We supply our own branded premium, water based ‘paste the wall’ adhesive, which includes clear instructions on how to apply. Also, all our wallpaper deliveries are complete with instructions on how to apply the paste, and how to hang the papers.

I love my newly decorated room – can I share a picture with you?

Yes please, we’d love for you to share photos of your decorating with us – you can tag us on facebook and instagram with the handle @creativejourneydesign.
